Visiting and funding for HIV kids including those abandoned by their families. The children were taken care in the shelters by Camelo's fathers. All babies were infected with HIV and abandoned by their mothers at the hospital. The babysitters were also HIV-positive persons. There were cases where all three siblings were infected with HIV and their parents have died from HIV. All of them were enrolled in school, some were 12 year olds but only in third grade. The children were given regular medications, received monthly laboratory tests and received excellent nutritional care.
