Households in remote areas need to have 500L water storage tanks for the following reasons:
- River water in the Mekong Delta is 90% salinity due to climate change, rising sea level.
- River water is also contaminated with pesticides from fields, gardens permeate into the water.
- Only remote areas need rainwater storage because there is no factory, no industrial park, no emission, clean environment, rain water is not poisoned.
- The rainy season contains water for cooking
- The dry season contains river water and must use alum to neutralize the water for several days.
- Other activities still using river water
- Water storage tank made from cement is more economical and last longer than plastic one – lower cost and better for health.
- A family needs at least 2 water storage tank
